A Quick Trip to Utah

^^^the picture on the right shows a post that was recovered from the fire and one of the new ones that they made for the temple! it was really cool to see how close they tried to keep to the original design and architecture.

We spent a couple days in Utah a couple weeks ago and had a blast seeing so many friends! We didn’t do anything out of the ordinary on this trip, because our priority was spending time with our people! First, we went to the Provo temple open house with my friend Amy. It was incredible and is my new favorite temple! It used to be an old tabernacle until it burned down a couple years ago, leaving only the exterior walls. Then they announced they were going to restore it and build it into a temple! It’s finally finished and it was amazing to see how they converted it (although I never saw the tabernacle before). They kept to the original Victorian gothic style which made for incredible details on the interior! I can’t wait to go back! It even started snowing a little bit! Luckily, the sun came out on the second day :) That night, we went to the ballet to see ballet west perform Romeo and Juliet! It was a long and slow ballet but the lifts and partner work in the balcony scene made it worth it! Plus Romeo and Juliet were performed by two of my favorite principal dancers! on our second day, we were able to see and spend time with a handful of friends but i forgot to get pictures with them! :( i felt really grateful all weekend for our friends we have in utah! i love that we have them to go back to when we visit!
