Rockwell’s First Trip!
Our best friends invited us to go to the Justin Timberlake concert with them in Phoenix! We of course said HECK YES! Rockwell was only going to be 6 weeks old but we were excited to start traveling with him young! It was so exciting to finally be back at the airport after taking a break for two months…it felt like home! which is what was so exciting about bringing rockwell to our second home!
we got through security pretty easily (thank goodness for tsa precheck!) and got to board early which was nice! the only big hiccup we had was that rockwell blew out of his diaper before we started taxiing but after we had to stay seated! so we had to wait a while before we could get up to change him! it was also nice that we had a whole row to ourselves so we were able to bring the car seat with us. it allowed us to put him down if we got tired of holding him or if we needed our hands or lap trays for a little while. he had a few fussy moments on the first flight, but we were able to calm him down quickly. overall, he did fantastic! it was actually kinda fun having him on the flight with us. it was relaxing because both of our flights were really empty and quiet. once the sun went down, it felt cozy, especially when cuddling a little baby :)
this was also rockwell’s first time experiencing sunshine and warm weather! he absolutely loved it! i was happy he got to wear the few warm weather newborn outfits we had for him :) something about the arizona air made him a really good baby! he was super happy and did such a great job sleeping every night! it was magical :) he got spoiled with love from jude and quinn. it was so cute to watch! it was a great trip and i was so sad to leave! we felt pretty awesome that it was such a successful trip and can’t wait to go on more!
