Happy Birthday America!
I guess I should say happy belated birthday ;) aside from Halloween, Fourth of July is my favorite holiday! I love the patriotism and spirit of the whole day. I love the red white and blue, the food, the friends and family, and of course, the fireworks! bonus if you’re by the water or on a boat :) for our fourth, we spent the day at a park close by our house which we never knew existed. there were booths, games, food vendors, and live music all day leading up to fireworks! the coolest part was that there is a lake big enough to boat on and a beach to swim in! unfortunately it was a cloudy and almost rainy day (surprise), but there was still a good amount of people in the water! we ate some delicious bbq, funnel cakes, and boston cream pie mini donuts that melted in my mouth!
instead of staying at the park for fireworks, we went to our friends’ family’s home where their whole neighborhood shoots off fireworks all night long. it was a blast! these were some serious fireworks too! one fell over, shot at our friend’s brother, went through his shorts, and singed the hair right off of his leg! it was insane, i so wish i got a video of it! but don’t worry mom, no one was seriously injured all night ;) my personal favorites were the ones that you hold like a wand and it shoots out as if you’re setting a spell to protect hogwarts from the dark lord. if you have no idea what i’m talking about, then just keep on scrollin’ ;) and watch the video below :)
