A Hop, Skip, and a Ferry Ride Away
i love that we can take a short ferry ride to several islands in the area and spend an afternoon exploring. the beachy vibes and pretty boutiques are my favorite. this time, we brought koda with us. instead of leaving him in the car below, he came up to the deck to enjoy the views! he was pretty excited but towards the end he barked a couple times at some mysterious horns and noises :) the weather was perfect and we were able to see mt. rainier and mt. baker because it was so clear! try to spot them in a couple of these photos!
we walked around a few shops on bainbridge and drove around the island to show brianna some houses and forests and beaches. what a dreamy place to live! then, we found out that poulsbo wasn’t very far away and that it’s a Norwegian town so, we decided to take a look before we had to head back to our ferry. it wasn’t as impressive as solvang or leavenworth, but it was still really cute and i loved that it’s right on the water! my favorite shop was a nautical accessory shop that had everything you needed for your ship! it definitely fed into my boat fetish! however, there wasn’t a christmas shop, so that’s when you know something isn’t right with a place! ;) all jokes aside, we will definitely have to go back when all of the shops are open so we can get the full experience!
