A Trip to the Snow
^^^i love this picture of koda! even if he does look a little scary with that mask of snow! :)
^^^koda did so good at hiking up all of the snow banks and through the deep snow!
being here in the pnw has been a hard adjustment. it’s such a different environment that i’m not used to at all. i have never lived somewhere so grey and wet! i would much rather have snow everyday than rain. i’m sad that i’m missing out on all of that snow in utah this winter! so, the other week, we took a tiny road trip to the snow! we drove 45 minutes to the summit at snoqualmie which is the closest ski resort to us. it was crazy how much snow there was! the drive was so pretty – the only thing that was missing was hot chocolate! we brought koda too because he loves the snow and we knew he’s been missing it (even if he doesn’t know it). He was so excited when we got out of the car! he runs around like a crazy person when he sees snow! it’s the cutest thing.
As i’m writing this blog post, i’m reminded of the song “snow” in white christmas! and now i want it to be christmas all over again!
Snow
It won’t be long before we’ll all be there with snow
Snow
I want to wash my hands, my face and hair with snow
Snow
I long to clear a path and lift a spade of snow
Snow
Oh, to see a great big man entirely made of snow
Where it’s snowing
All winter through
That’s where I want to be
Snowball throwing
That’s what I’ll do
How I’m longing to ski
Through the snow-oh-oh-oh-oh
Those glist’ning houses that seem to be built of snow
Snow
Oh, to see a mountain covered with a quilt of snow
What is Christmas with no snow
No white Christmas with no snow
Snow
I’ll soon be there with snow
I’ll wash my hair with snow
And with a spade of snow
I’ll build a man that’s made of snow
I’d love to stay up with you but I recommend a little shuteye
Go to sleep
And dream
Of snow
