2015: A Year of Travel
i think my favorite part of 2015 was all of the traveling we were able to do! when it comes to traveling, i think this year was my favorite one! last year i hoped that i would get to spend more time at the beach in 2015 and my wish came true! i got extremely lucky and went home three different times by myself! riley is so nice to let me go :) the first trip was to surprise my mom for her birthday! it was a fun girl’s trip :) me and riley took a road trip to idaho to see craters of the moon, miracle hot springs, friends, and grandparents. then we went on a road trip through california! this was one of my favorite trips of the year! we stopped at the salt flats before making our way to san francisco. we got a good little taste of the city, i hope we’ll go back in 2016 to see more of it! big sur and carmel by the sea were two sides of california that i had never seen before. the beauty blew me away! we got to spend a few days in l.a. and in my hometown for my sister’s wedding! that was fun to be with the whole family and for riley to finally meet everyone! a month later, i flew back home for my brother’s farewell and me and my siblings went to disneyland! it was great being with each other before my brother left for el salvador! another month later, we went on a trip of a life time to disney world, harry potter world, and miami! it was great to celebrate our anniversary with disney! we moved to seattle and a month later, we hopped on a plane back to salt lake! we took a day trip to portland with koda, the first of many i’m sure! right after thanksgiving, i flew home again for another girl’s weekend and to go to an sc football game with my sister. then, we surprised ourselves with a short trip to hawaii! i still can’t believe that one…a few days later, i flew to d.c. to be with my entire family for christmas. and now we are ending the year with a short ski trip in spokane/canada!
i’m not sure how we get so lucky to do all of theses trips but i’m truly grateful! i don’t know how 2016 will top this year but i look forward to it! Happy New Year!!! Cheers!
