festivities
this weekend was fun. and lovely. the weather here is amazing: sunny and so warm! perfect for windows rolled down, train rides, picnics in the park, and walks around the temple. we started our weekend by taking the train to sandy to see the great gatsby! my goodness, it was amazing. thanks for going with me riley! what a trooper :)
sunday was mother’s day; while we were sad to not be with our own mothers, we each talked to them for a long time on the phone. we also celebrated a friend’s birthday at a park with an amazing view of the city and the capital. i love where we live! there is pretty much everything here, other than my beloved ocean ;)

after our friend’s birthday celebration, we spent some time on temple square, the best place to spend a sunday afternoon! the flowers during spring time are just my favorite! all of the trees have lost their blooms but are green and so fresh looking. it already feels like summer here, which also makes me very happy :)
