Snowbird Staycation
what better day then today to post about skiing at snowbird?! this past winter, i was so ready to embrace it and make the best of it. but, utah failed us all and only gave us two snow days and a lot of warm temps. so i was off the hook! but now it’s spring and we’re finally getting our winter….i’m ready to swim and get tan! let’s hope the weather is better in california when i go next week…
over easter/general conference weekend, riley’s parents treated us to a little snowbird action. we took a few days off work, ate a ton of good food, and had a blast!! i already love snowbird because of the time we spent there last year for our anniversary, but this was my first time skiing there! and my first time skiing, actually. riley taught me how to snowboard when we were dating but i didn’t pick up on it very well. we thought that maybe i would like skiing better, especially if riley’s family members taught me how. and i loved it! people…skiing is a thousand times easier than snow boarding. i hope one day i’ll get good at boarding, but for now i think i’ll stick to skis. even riley put his board away for a couple days and he was a natural on skis!
^^^madi is a little pro skier. her and her mom taught me well. not saying that i’m at their level (i probably never will be), but they helped me to not fall on my butt, so i’m grateful for that ;)
^^^swimming in the snow at the cliff lodge! is there anything better for sore muscles?? also, riley is such a fun big brother!!
