2013 part one
can i say “best year ever”?! i just don’t know where to start. riley and i spent the entire year together, went on so many adventures, and grew so much together. 2013 will always be precious to us, we have the best memories from this year. it’s hard to let go of it! but i am so excited to see what 2014 brings for us. especially graduation and even more adventures and traveling.
in 2013, we went so many new places together (too many to count), went on road trips, worked a lot, saw lots of movies, went on hikes, went to football and basketball games, friends got married, friends had babies, said “see you later” to a lot of missionaries, went on adventures, moved into a new apartment, got married!!!, made new friends, started my last year of school, and went on some more road trips ;)
now bare with me as i try to recap some of our favorite memories. it’s mostly for myself so i can look back and remember.
^^^this is from one of our favorite last minute dates. we took front runner down to provo and planned on walking to jdawgs. once we got there, we realized it was impossibly far away so we walked down the street and found the provo mall. it was so so freezing. in the mall, we ate chinese food and found a chinese shop with a super cheap and super awesome tea set that we bought. then we went home and watched anime movies.
^^^trekking in the snow to a utah basketball game. always a good time with those boys.
^^^ellie goulding concert!!! i also saw awolnation in concert with riley this year. we spent the day snowboarding then went to the concert. it was such a fun packed day.
^^^a quick trip to st george with my best friend, anna. she gave me all the advice i ever needed on marriage and weddings and i loved it.
^^^said goodbye to my best friend , amy, as she left for a mission in tokyo!
^^^riley taught me how to snowboard. a truly awful experience. but after i went a few times, i got better ;) i’m actually looking forward to it this season.
^^^sledding in a blizzard. a truly amazing experience. so many laughs.
^^^first time ever going to washington. fell in love with it. spent more time with riley’s family. this is when we were both sure that we wanted to get married :)
^^^said goodbye to another best friend, brenna. serving a mission in provo. i saw her in september which was just the greatest and happiest thing!
^^^went to rexburg for the first time. visited anna and her husband. riley designed my engagement ring ;)
^^^welcomed in spring at festival of colors with riley and joey. gotta do it once or twice in your life!
^^^spent our first valentine’s day together. riley spoiled me! he got me chocolates, perfume, made me dinner, then took me to the ballet to see cinderella. it was just the best. everthing i love. he knows me so well :) plus me and my girlfriends went to cheesecake factory for lunch :)
^^^explored the great salt lake and antelope island.
^^^watched all of my friends graduate. sad that i couldn’t graduate with them but i can’t wait to graduate in 2014!
^^^one of my favorite days ever. biked around the city, seeing places we never noticed in our cars. we weren’t in a time crunch (which we usually are) so it was extra fun to just go wherever our hearts desired.
^^^got engaged at the top of a hill overlooking the city!!!
^^^spent 6 weeks home in california in the summer. it was so fun but so hard being away from riley for that long. had to plan the wedding though! the chuns invited me to go to a dodger game with them, which was so much fun (don’t mind my hair ;).
^^^bridal shower! sister sorensen and taylor and my sister brianna did a great job putting together my tea party shower. it was a perfect sunny day. and i was lucky to have anna there for it!
^^^my little big baby brother graduated high school!! and my grandparents came out for the week. can’t believe how old bryce is.
^^^went back to utah. said goodbye to singles ward :( but it’s all good now because being married is awesome! plus all of our friends are getting married now ;)

^^^the week of our wedding was so much fun, even if it was crazy and a little stressful. my uncle and cousin and riley’s whole family came out to california. even riley’s childhood best friend, jake, came out! it was so great having everyone there. we spent one day at disneyland, where we were totally spoiled. we had a family bbq at the beach. it was so nice having both of our families together and that they were able to get to know each other. we both got so lucky with awesome in-laws.
