life after graduation
life has been surprisingly busy lately! but in a good way because i don’t have school work to do! it’s been so nice! i even got a new job at west elm as a home stylist! i love it so far and everyone who works there is so nice. i also might be starting an internship at alice lane soon, so i’m gonna have a full plate for a little while! ever since me and riley finished classes, it seems that we have a lot more time together. also, koda isn’t home by himself as much anymore which i know he just loves! here are some snapshots of what we’ve been up to lately.
^^^last week, we went to the ellie goulding concert with the tickets riley got me for valentine’s day! ellie goulding is my ultimate girl crush, i love her so much. we were in the front with the crowd for a while until i had a panic attack. not because i was so excited to see ellie, but because stupid people started pushing and i have become very claustrophobic and i couldn’t handle it. haha it was pretty embarrassing. i should’ve learned from her concert last year that it just isn’t worth it to try to stand that close! but after we left the front, we could still see just fine and we had way more fun. riley even kept telling me for days after the concert how much fun he had! i’m so happy he came with me :)
^^^the other day, we were able to make it to the draper temple. i’ve only been to a few temples here in utah but this one is easily my favorite! the interior is so beautiful!! after the temple, riley surprised me by taking me to rita’s! my favorite from when i lived in philly! i got the same as usual: a gelati with mango ice and vanilla custard. yum. and since the pie was right next door, we got a pizza to go too ;)
^^^i know it’s seems like riley does all the work and cooking around here (and he really does do a lot) so i’ve been trying to be better! i made soup, s’mores cookies, and stuffed bell peppers! not all in the same day ;)
^^^our friends joey and stephen came over for dinner last sunday and joey brought his new kitten over with him. his name is mr. waffles and he is so teeny tiny! like, he’s the size of koda’s favorite chew toy haha! we are not cat people over here but kittens are a little better ;) he hated koda. he would hiss at him and try to hide. koda loved him, though and would get as close as possible and just lay there and watch him. haha it was pretty cute. they even fell asleep staring at each other a couple times :)
life with no school has been pretty fantastic! we’re just waiting for the weather to get normal (it’s been raining on and off the last few days) so we can go on some hikes with koda! riley is taking two online classes this summer which start next week. and i have yet to hang out with an of my friends haha. it seems like they’re just as busy as i have been!
p.s. as i type this, koda is sleeping next to me and is snoring and twitching so hard and it is cracking me up :) should i wake him up??
